I’m Wouter, trained Art Director / photographer / idea shaper / wood crafter / world traveller SCHRAP / keen surfer and all-round outdoors enthusiast.

I have worked for agencies from Athens to Moscow, but mostly in Brussels. Being in the trenches of advertising for a couple of decades has shown me what to look for in a good campaign. And what to avoid. For the last 12 years, I’ve also had the pleasure of passing this knowledge on, coaching new talent as a lecturer at PXL College in Hasselt (Belgium).

When I’m not at work, you can usually find me up a mountain or below sea level. Exploring what’s behind the next rock. Or making something, hands-on.

I find inspiration in good design, great art and weird things on the side of the road. But also in untamed nature, off-beat documentaries and interesting encounters all over the world.

In search of better light and outdoor challenges, I recently relocated to the magical island of Crete with my family. Life is just a little more wild here.

From our home studio, I work on art direction, branding and photography assignments. Often flying out to a job when needed.

Collaborating with creatives, writers, designers, photographers, craftsmen, directors, strategists, account directors, musicians… is something I really enjoy.
